2017 marks 14 years in the fitness industry. I’ve learned a lot over the years, both about myself and the business. Here are a few things I’ve learned along the way:

P A S S I O N – Work for passion, not a paycheck. Always be passionate about your work, and what you do. Your passion is often linked to your purpose, so find that thing that you were meant to do and go do it.

C R E A T E – Create meaningful content that people care about. It’s not meaningful to you chances are it won’t be meaningful to your audience. Don’t put something out there in an effort to create shock & awe. Make it count.

B E  Y O U – I used to think that I had to work in corporate and wear a suit and heels every day in order to run a successful business. A nice suit can only take you so far; you have to have the brains, work ethic and business acumen to take you the rest of the way.

I N V E S T – Invest in yourself. You can’t invest and pour into those around you if you aren’t taking cRe of yourself first. Invest in your well-being, so that you can help others invest in theirs.

F O L L O W  T H R O U G H – Always! Be diligent about returning phone calls, emails and text messages. Do the work even when you don’t feel like it, and show the people investing in you that you appreciate them.

S T A Y  H U M B L E – You don’t have to be an asshole to get ahead. Enough said.

T R U S T  G O D – Trust that God is always behind the scenes working on your behalf, and that He wants you to live in your purpose and have all the things you desire. Give to Him and go to work.
